Before you ask the wizard
Do I need an account?
No. Every bit of progress — crests, gold, duel rank, board style — is stored locally on your device. There's nothing to sign up for and nothing syncing to a server.
Does it need an internet connection?
No — every puzzle, duel, and Practice game runs entirely on your device. A connection is only used to serve the ads that keep the game free.
Is there a way to play without ads?
The app is fully playable with an occasional banner and an interstitial between Practice games. Watching a short rewarded ad is also the way to top up gold for wizard hints, if you'd rather not wait for it to accumulate on its own.
How hard does the duel ladder actually get?
The forty-nine duelists span roughly 80 to 2882 Elo, and the engine underneath gets measurably stronger at each tier — from an opponent that blunders on purpose to one running a deeper search with a much sharper positional sense.
What if I get stuck on a puzzle?
Ask the wizard. He'll tell you which piece to move for a price, and where to move it for a little more — or just undo your last move, or start the trial fresh, at no cost at all.
